| How to start File Securer software |
- Step 1. Go to your Windows Start Menu and find the File Securer program item.
- Step 2. Click the File Securer item to start File Securer.
- Step 3. When the File Securer login dialog appears, enter
your login password. The software’s default password is
"password" - you can change this later via the
settings wizard or the settings page.
- Step 4. When you’ve entered the correct password, you will
login into the main interface.

| How to lock folders and files |
|
Warning - Don't lock
the special windows folder. Don't lock an
object when it is in using.

| Important - The File Securer have two methods to lock the folders and files. One is by the system
"pop menu", the other is
"drag and drop" method. |
| System pop menu method |
- Step 1. In the windows shell system, select a file or folder object.
- Step 2. Click the right button of the mouse, then a system pop menu pop up.
- Step 3. Select the "Lock with File
Securer" item, then the object disappeared and a File Securer link icon will appear with the same name of the object.
- Step 4. After that the object is hidden by the File Securer software.

| Drag and drop method |
- Step 1. Login in the main interface of the File Securer software.
- Step 2. Drag and drop the file or folder object into the main interface.
- Step 3. The software will hide the object soon, after the work the object disappeared and the File Securer link icon will appear with the same name of the object.
- Step 4. The File Securer will update the hidden files list synchronously.

| How to unlock hidden folders and files |
| Important - The File Securer have three method to unlock the
hidden folders and files. Two methods are by the system
"pop menu", the last is by
"unlock button". |

- Step 1. In the windows shell system, select a File Securer link
icon(*.hrd, *.hrf).
- Step 2. Click the right button of the mouse, then a system pop menu pop up.
- Step 3. Select the "Unlock with File Securer" item, then a password input dialog pop up.
- Step 4. After input corrected password, the link icon soon disappears and the
hidden object will
re-appear.

- Step 2. Click hidden files button - the hidden folders and files will be listed.
- Step 3. Select the object you want to unlock, click the "Unlock" button, soon the
hidden object will re-appear.
- Step 4. The File Securer will update the hidden files list synchronously.

| How to check hidden files list |
- Step 1. To check your locked items, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the hidden files button - your hidden folders and files will be listed.
- Step 3. You can select the disk which you want to check.
- Click the unlock button to unlock your
hidden folders and files.
- Click the clear button to clear the error file links.

| How to check system logs |
- Step 1. To check operation logs, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the system logs button - the system logs will be listed.
- Step 3. You can select those logs you want by the radio buttons on the top.
- Click the delete button to clear the logs.

- Step 1. To change the main interface skin, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the settings button - the settings page will appear.
- Step 3. Select a skin from the interface skins drop-down menu.

| How to change software password |
- Step 1. To change your login password, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the settings button - the settings page will appear.
- Step 3. Enter your old password once and your new password twice. Click save button. Your new password will be saved automatically.
- The software first
default password is "password"

| How to set shell integration |
- Step 1. To change your settings, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the settings button - the settings page will appear.
- Step 3. If you want to integrate File Securer menu items into system pop menu, you can click the "integrate with system menu" check box, then when you select a folder or file, click right button of the mouse, two items will add into the system pop menu.

- Step 4. If you require input password when hide object, you can click the "password required by locking files" check box, then when you unlock a
hidden object, a password input dialog will appear to ask for inputing password.

to recover password |
- Step 1. Go to your Windows Start Menu and find the File Securer program item.
- Step 2. Click the Password Recover item to start File Securer Password Recover.
- Step 3. If you are a registered user, you must input the correct registration code, then click the recover button, the password will be changed to
'password'. For the trial user, don't input anything, and click the recover button, the password will be changed to
'password'.

| How to register full version File Securer software |
- Step 1. To register your File Securer software, access the main interface.
- Step 2. Click the about button - the about page will appear.
- Step 3. Click the purchase online link to buy the register code for
File Securer via internet.

File Securer is now registered.

- Step 2. Open the your system’s start menu and find the File Securer program group.
- Step 3. Click the uninstall item, then a password input
dialog will pop up.
- Step 4. Input correct password, and click Yes - the File Securer
software uninstalled.

| When you want to start File Securer software, it maybe another instance are running. Since only one instance of File Securer can run at any time, when you attempt to manually start the software it will tell you "File Securer is already in working...", you can active the others for using. |

perhaps a dialog with words "The lock file is already exist
in hidden files list, Please change the name and try again"
will pop up, don't worry about that, it isn't mistake, because
there is a locked object which has the same name with current
object in the hidden files list, you can't lock it. If you must
lock the object, you could change the object to another name. |

perhaps a dialog with words "The unlock file is already
exist, Please change the name and try again" will pop up,
don't worry about that, it isn't mistake, because there is object
which has the same name with current object in the target folder,
you can't unlock it. If you must unlock the object, you could
change the existing object to another name. |
